My master thesis presents and analyzes the most important aspects associated with the possibility of implementing reverse mortgage programs together with prospects of the development of this product on the Polish banking market. Main objective of this work is to create a Polish version of the product which will be built on the American pattern as well as answer for the question whether this product could become a permanent element of Polish banking. Moreover, in my thesis I described the subject matter of reverse mortgage together with the successful adaptation of this product on the Polish banking sector. Using an American pattern of this product, reverse mortgage programs have huge chances to succeed in Poland, constituting new benefits for the senior society and as well for banks during current financial crisis.
