Niniejsza rozprawa koncentruje się wokół tematyki stresu, a celem podjętych badań było określenie poziomu stresu, strategii radzenia sobie w sytuacjach trudnych młodych osób z niepełnosprawnością słuchową oraz zbadania zwiąków pomiedzy poziomem stresu a stosowaniem strategii przezwycieżania sytuacji trudnych. Prezentowane w dysertacji badania przeprowadzono na próbie 92 uczniów szkół specjalnych w wieku 16-19 lat, 43 kobiet i 49 mężczyzn. Do celów diagnostycznych wykorzystano standaryzowane i normalizowane testy psychologicze: Mini - COPE - Inwentarz do badania strategii radzenia sobie ze stresem oraz Percepcyjną Skalę Stresu. W analizie wyników wykorzystano testy parametryczne t - studenta oraz nieparametryczne – test H- ANOVA Kruskala – Wallisa oraz test U-Manna Whitneya. Do określenia korelacji posłużono się nieparamertycznym testem r- Spearmana. Analiza badań wskazuje na przeciętny poziom stresu i brak związku pomiędzy poziomem stresu a zmiennymi wiek, płeć, poziom niedosłuchu, sposób protezowania.
This study is focused on the issues of stress and coping with the stress of young people with profound hearing loss. The purpose of the dissertation was to determine the level of stress, the using of coping stress strategies in the sample of young people with auditory disability, also, to examine the relationship between the level of stress and the use of strategies to overcome difficult situations. The appropriate study was conducted on a sample of 92 students of special schools, aged 16 -19 years old, 43 females, 49 males. For diagnostic purposes the following research tools were used: Mini – COPE – Inventory for Measuring Coping with Stress and The Perceived Stress Scale. In the analysis of results, parametric t-student and non-parametric tests were used: Kruskal-Wallis H-ANOVA test and U-Mann Whitney's. To determine the correlation, a nonparamertical r-Spearman test was used. The analysis of the research indicates the average level of stress and the lack of relationship between the level of stress and variables age, gender, level of hearing loss, the method of prosthesis. The most commonly used strategy in coping with difficult situations is Acceptance, the Use of Psychoactive Substances is the least one. Taking into account the factors (grouped strategies), the most commonly used strategy is Acceptance, the least - Helplessness. There are statistically significant relationships between some of the variables included in the research and the application of a given strategy or factor in the coping with stress. Analysis of correlation showed a weak, positive relationship between the level of stress and strategies: Search for Emotional Support, Denying, Unloading, Blaming yourself and Avoidance factor, in the total sample, and statistically significant relationships taking into account the variables highlighted in dissertation.
