Walka z terroryzmem i jej wpływ na bezpieczeństwo na świecie

Abstract

Celem niniejszej pracy jest przedstawienie problemu terroryzmu we współczesnym świecie. Jednak złożoność omawianego zjawiska nie pozwala jednoznacznie określić definicji tego zagadnienia, głównie ze względu na skalę jego występowania oraz jego przestrzenne zróżnicowanie. Przy opisywaniu terroryzmu religijnego i świeckiego wskazano ich cechy wspólne jak i występujące między nimi różnice. Definicje terroryzmu zróżnicowano w zależności od motywów i sposobów działania terrorystów. Ponadto omówiono największe organizacje terrorystyczne, a także podmioty starające się im przeciwdziałać. Stwierdzono także, że terroryzm jest obecnie największym zagrożeniem dla bezpieczeństwa międzynarodowego. Natomiast ciągła ewolucja danego zjawiska wymusza konieczność bezustannej obserwacji i tworzenia nowych koncepcji walki z terrorystami. Istotne jest również stwierdzenie, że do walki potrzebne jest zaangażowanie się państw i organizacji międzynarodowych niekoniecznie zagrożonych atakami, ponieważ tylko solidarna walka może przynieść korzyści.

The aim of this paper is to present the problem of terrorism in the modern world. However, the complexity of the phenomenon does not allow to uniquely define it, mainly due to the scale of its occurrence as well as spatial variation. In describing religious and secular terrorism it is important to indicate both their common features as well as differences between them. Definitions of terrorism vary depending on the motives and methods used by terrorists. The paper also discusses the biggest terrorist organizations and entities that seek to counteract them as terrorism became the biggest threat to international security. The evolution of the phenomenon continues so it requires constant observation and development of new ideas in fighting against it. It is crucial that all countries contribute in fighting against terrorism because results can only be achieved with united efforts.
