Praca ma charakter teoretyczno-empiryczny. Podjęty program badawczy skupiony jest
na analizie związków jakie zachodzą pomiędzy ryzykiem samobójczym a radzeniem sobie ze
stresem przez młodzież. Badaniami objęto 161 uczniów klas ponadgimnazjalnych w wieku od
16 do 19 lat. W badaniach wykorzystano zestaw następujących metod: Skala CES-D do oceny
depresji L. S. Radloffa, Kwestionariusz Radzenia sobie w sytuacjach stresowych CISS N. S.
Endlera i J. D. Parkera, Kwestionariusz COPE do pomiaru strategii radzenia sobie ze stresem
Ch. Carvera oraz arkusz personalny własnej konstrukcji. Zebrany materiał empiryczny
poddany został analizie statystycznej oraz psychologicznej. Z prowadzonych analiz wynika,
wykorzystane w pracy psychologicznej i pedagogicznej z młodzieżą z ryzykiem
samobójczym.

Parker CISS: Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations, COPE Questonnaire by Carver and own personal sheet structure. The collected empirical material was analyzed statistically and psychologically. Analyses show that adolescents with high suicidal risk are characterized by lower coping with stress. Moreover, this group prefers the emotional and avoidance- escape coping. In addition, they have a tendency to mitigate the unpleasant emotions that occur in stressful situations through the use of alcohol or other substances. In turn, youth with low suicidal risk is more active remedial. In coping with stress, they often use task oriented style of coping and looking for help in religion. Research program carried out with the participation of youth at risk of suicide has provided results that cognitive asset but also have application value. Dependences that have been identified can be used in psychological and educational work with young people at risk of suicide.
