Abstract

Celem pracy jest zbadanie świadomości internautów odnośnie udostępniania przez nich danych osobowych w sieci, oraz znajomości zabezpieczeń, które występują na portalach internetowych. Podstawowe pytanie przyświecające tym badaniom brzmi: „Czy użytkownicy Internetu są świadomi zagrożeń jakie niesie udostępnianie w sieci swoich danych osobowych”. Badania prowadzone wśród studentów WSB oraz mieszkańców Nowego Sącza i okolic wykazały, że ankietowani, starają się chronić swoje dane osobowe, są świadomi niebezpieczeństwa jakie niesie ze sobą umieszczanie tych danych w sieci WWW, lecz nie wiedzą jakie zabezpieczenia powinny posiadać portale internetowe, nie zwracają uwagi na rodzaje zabezpieczeń stron internetowych, oraz chętnie dzielą się prywatnymi zdjęciami na portalach społecznościowych. Hipoteza główna o treści: „Internauci są świadomi zagrożeń jakie niesie udostępnianie w sieci swoich danych osobowych”, której towarzyszyły cztery hipotezy szczegółowe, została częściowo przyjęta, co potwierdzają przedstawione w pracy wyniki badań.

The aim of this MA thesis is to research the awareness of the Internet users concerning personal data availability in the web and the knowledge of security barriers which occur in web portals. The basic question answered is: Are the Internet users aware of the dangers associated with making their personal data available in the web? The research conducted among the students of National Louis University and the residents of Nowy Sącz and its surroundings proved that the respondents try to protect their personal data, they are aware of the dangers connected with making their data available on the Net. However, they do not know what kind of security barriers web portals should have. Besides, they do not pay attention to the kinds of websites security barriers and they readily share their private photos on social networking websites. The main hypothesis is: “The Internet users are aware of the dangers connected with making their personal data available on the Internet.” This hypothesis is accompanied with four detailed hypotheses and it is partially accepted, which is proven by the research results presented in this MA thesis.
