dc.description.abstract	This work presents the phenomena of crisis as based on its definitions in psychology, psychiatry and economics, describes the phases of economic cycles as well as the forms in which crisis may occur. Various instruments used in anti-crisis actions of states are discussed with a distinction between those applied by governments and central banks. The empirical part deals with characteristics of anti-crisis instruments as used by selected EU countries.	pl
