Przedmiotem niniejszej pracy są różne problemy i kontrowersje, jakie pojawiają się w kontaktach państwa i związków wyznaniowych. Na przykładzie Polski, w której pozycja Kościoła Katolickiego jest wyjątkowo silna, pokazano, że wiele kontrowersji na linii kościół – państwo to problemy sztucznie budowane i podsycane przez media. Chociaż istnieje wiele pól współpracy i zgody pomiędzy tymi instytucjami, to nie są one dostrzegane w związku z dużo bardziej atrakcyjnymi medialnie opiniami środowisk skrajnie prawicowych i skrajnie lewicowych. Opinia publiczna opierająca się głównie o przekaz medialny często nie ma więc możliwości prawidłowo ocenić skali i stopnia zaangażowania się Kościoła Katolickiego w życie państwowe.
The subject of this study was to show different problems and the main controversies connected with a relations between a state and the religious organizations. This study is focused on the situation in Poland, where the Catholic Church takes the privileged position. There are many real problems and controversies, but many of them seem to be made up by media. There are many areas of the good cooperation between a Catholic Church and a Polish state. However, media like to concentrate on the opinions and comments of the radical groups (secular and religious). The public opinion is based on the media, that is why it is often very hard for people to clearly recognize a real scale and a level of cooperation between a state and a Catholic Church in Poland.
