Zagrożenie terroryzmem we współczesnym świecie

Abstract

Problem terroryzmu globalnego ze względu na rosnące zagrożenie budzi co raz to większe zaniepokojenie, ale również zainteresowanie wśród społeczeństwa. Terroryzm stał się jednym z najgroźniejszych zagrożeń dla całego świata. W każdym czasie może nastąpić kolejny atak terrorystyczny, który przyniesie śmierć niewinnych osób. Aby skutecznie walczyć z terroryzmem konieczne jest poznanie przyczyn oraz podłoża tego problemu, a także przeanalizowanie rodzajów terroryzmu jakie współcześnie wyróżniamy. Praca na ma celu pokazanie zjawiska terroryzmu oraz przedstawienie metod jakie stosują państwa i organizacje międzynarodowe w zwalczaniu tego rodzaju przestępczości i czy aby na pewno te działania są wystarczające. W pierwszym rozdziale przedstawiam różne definicje terroryzmu, które oddają najlepiej cechy tego zjawiska. Została pokazana ewolucja jaką na przestrzeni lat przeszedł terroryzm i jak był postrzegany w przeszłości. Rozdział systematyzuje odmiany terroryzmu jakie wykształciły się we współczesnym świecie. W drugim rozdziale przedstawiam główne aspekty współpracy międzynarodowej państw i organizacji międzynarodowych w zakresie przeciwdziałania i zwalczania ataków terrorystycznych. Omówiony został terroryzm islamistyczny, jego główne cechy i przyczyny. Przedstawiam także zamachy jakie dokonały współczesne grupy terrorystyczne oraz skale tego globalnego problemu. W ostatnim rozdziale przedstawiam koncepcję Stanów Zjednoczonych dotyczącą zwalczania terroryzmu oraz strategię NATO, która ma na celu zapewnić skuteczną współprace państw nastawioną na zapobieganie i zwalczanie terroryzmu globalnego. Na końcu rozdziału została pokazana współpraca międzynarodowa Polski, która ma zapewnić naszemu krajowi bezpieczeństwo przed atakami terrorystycznymi.

Due to the growing threat, the problem of global terrorism causes increasing concern, but also interest of the society. Another terrorist attack may happen at any time bringing the death of innocent people. In order to effectively fight against terrorism it is necessary to learn about reasons and base of this problem and also to analyse types of terrorism that can be distinguished in the present day. The aim of the following thesis is to show the phenomenon of terrorism and present methods used by countries and international organizations in combating this type of crime and whether these activities are sufficient. The first chapter describes different definitions of terrorism reflecting features of this phenomenon in the best way. The evolution that terrorism has undergone over the years and the way it has been seen in the past have been presented. This chapter systematises types of terrorism that have evolved in the modern world. The second chapter features the main aspects of the international cooperation of countries and international organizations in preventing and combating terrorist attacks. Islamist terrorism has been discussed as well as its main characteristics and causes. It also presents attacks that have been carried out by contemporary terrorist groups and the scale of this global problem. The last chapter shows concept of the United States concerning fight against terrorism and strategy of NATO which aims to provide effective cooperation of countries focused on preventing and combating the global terrorism. The end of the chapter presents international cooperation of Poland which is to ensure our country safety against terrorist attacks.
