Niniejsza praca nosi tytuł Ustrój państwa watykańskiego. Po kolei zostają przedstawione najważniejsze wydarzenia z historii państwa począwszy od powstania a sięgające czasów dzisiejszych. To małe państwo przez wieki przechodziło różne przemiany, ewoluowało by przyjąć dzisiejsza postać. Przedstawiony ustrój państwa ma przybliżyć jak wygląda organizacja wewnętrzna i zewnętrzna państwa. Praca opowiada o powstaniu państwa kościelnego, fazy, genezy jego powstawania. Pracę rozpoczyna historia powstania państwa Kościelnego sięgająca czasów rzymskich. Następnie po kolei przedstawione są instytucje Kościoła katolickiego wraz z wykonywanymi funkcjami. Trzeci rozdział opisuje reprezentantów państwa watykańskiego. Na sam koniec omówiona zostaje wolność religijna według Deklaracji Dignitatis Humanae .

The following essay is entitled "The political system of Vatican". It presents the major events in the history of Vatican from its inception to date. In order to appear in the current shape this compact state has undergone numerous transformations throughout the centuries and it evolved politically. The essay explains the details of the internal and external structure of the state. It also traces the very beginnings of the Papal States and the subsequent phases of both its inception and later history. The essay begins with the brief history of the foundation of the Vatican in the Roman times. It touches upon the theme of the name itself and discusses its etymology. The subsequent chapters focus on the issue of the formation of the papacy after the death of Saint Peter, also called the Prince of the Apostles. The predecessor of the popes was one of the main figures among the apostles, with his sainthood stemming from numerous accounts of his life and the search for his remains after death. Currently, the Pope himself, elected by the papal conclave, is the sovereign ruler of the Catholic Church comprising the legislative, executive and judiciary power. Furthermore, the essay describes the dispute between the papacy and the Italian state, ending with the Lateran Treaty of 1929. During the times of the discord, the popes remained in Vatican and requested to reinstate the dignity of the Church, then barred from preaching and spreading the faith. The essay includes the description of the process of the papal conclave . The latter parts of the work present the institutions and departments of the Catholic Church, with the functions. The third chapter also demonstrates the diplomatic representatives. Lastly, the essay is concluded with the concept of religious liberty as represented in the Dignitatis Humanae declaration.
