Praca magisterska obejmuje zespół zagadnień dotyczących stosowania merchandisingu w sklepach wielkopowierzchniowych „Real”. W szczególności przedmiotem analizy są metody i techniki merchandisingowe. Celem badań była natomiast analiza skuteczności wpływu technik merchandisingowych na zachowania, wybory i decyzje konsumenckie. W badaniach zastosowano dwie metody badawcze: obserwację ukrytą nieuczestniczącą oraz indywidualne i bezpośrednie wywiady z klientami sklepu Real przy ulicy Będzińskiej 80 mieszczącym się w centrum handlowym M1 w Czeladzi w województwie śląskim. Badania zostały przeprowadzone w dniach 7 – 9 lipca 2010 roku. Przeprowadzone badania pozwoliły zweryfikować postawioną hipotezę. Najważniejszym rezultatem niniejszej pracy, a dokładnie przeprowadzonych badań jest fakt, że potwierdziły one wykorzystywanie zasad i technik merchandisingu przez sklepy Real oraz ich znaczący wpływ na zachowania i wybory klientów. Wnioski, które można było wyciągnąć na podstawie badań są następujące: klienci są bardzo podatni na wszelkie działania merchandisingowe. Znaczna większość respondentów nie zdaje sobie sprawy ze stosowania merchandisingu i z tego, że są niekiedy „marionetkami” w rękach specjalistów od merchandisingu.
This master thesis relevants to issues connected with merchandising and its using in ‘Real’ shops. The main subject of the analysis are methods and techniques of merchandising. The main goal of researches was to analyze the effectiveness of merchandising techniques and their influence on customers’ behaviours, choices and decisions. There were used two methods in researches: secret observation and individual direct interviews with customers. The hipermarket ‘REAL’ is situated in M1 shopping centre in Czeladź City (śląskie county). The researches took place on July 2010 and have verified the hypothesis. The most important result of this master thesis and especially researches is the fact that they have proved that methods and techniques of merchandising have big influence on customers’ behaviours and choices. The most of respondents are not aware of using merchandising methods and techniques by ‘REAL’ shops and they have no idea that they are sometimes ‘marionettes’ in marketers’ hands.
