Abstrakt
Tematem niniejszej pracy jest: „Rozwój rynku pracy a nierówności
w wynagrodzeniach kobiet w Polsce i w USA”, która wpierw przedstawia różnice w rozwoju
rynku pracy, następnie dokonana jest analiza porównawcza nierówności wynagrodzeń kobiet
w Stanach Zjednoczonych i w Polsce pod względem wieku, edukacji i głównych grup
zawodowych. Do przeprowadzonej analizy użyte zostały dane wtórne pochodzące
z Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego oraz amerykańskiego Bureau of Labor Statistics. Metodą
badawczą, użytą w badaniu jest analiza porównawcza danych. Analiza wskazała na niższe
dochodowe nierówności płci w Polsce oraz różnice w ich kształtowaniu pod względem wieku
i edukacji. Natomiast, podobieństwo w nierównościach płac w kryterium grup zawodów.
The subject of this paper is: “The Development of the labor market and inequality in pay for women in Poland and the U.S.” This thesis explains the differences in the development of the labor market, then there is made a comparative analysis of inequality in women’s pay in the United States and Poland in terms of age, education and the main occupational groups. The analysis is based on the secondary data from the Central Statistical Office and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. More specifically, the research method used in this study is called a comparative analysis of the data. In fact, this analysis indicates that there are lower income gender gaps in Poland as well as differences in their shape in terms of age and education. However, it suggests the similarity in wage inequality in the criterion of the occupational groups.
