Funkcja menedżera a style kierowania na przykładzie firmy Credit Agricole Bank Polska S.A.

Abstract

Celem niniejszej pracy dyplomowej było przedstawienie roli współczesnego menedżera oraz jego skuteczności opartej o właściwy dobór stylów zarządzania w modelu sytuacyjnym Blancharda. Badania przeprowadzono na przykładzie osób zatrudnionych na stanowiskach Dyrektorów Placówek Bankowych w Credit Agricole Bank Polska S.A. Rozważania opierały się o trzy główne hipotezy: • efektywność menedżera nie zależy tylko od stylu kierowania zespołem, jaki stosuje w swojej pracy, ale również od poziomu świadomości biznesowej pracowników, którymi zarządza, • skuteczność menedżera jest wypadkową nie tylko wiedzy i doświadczenia, ale również intuicji, którą kieruje się w podejmowaniu decyzji, • kierowanie zespołem oparte na modelu Blancharda jest wystarczającą koncepcją pozwalającą osiągnąć sukces w tak dużej organizacji jak Bank. Praca została podzielona na pięć rozdziałów. W rozdziale pierwszym przedstawiono rys historyczny, kluczowe pojęcia oraz ewolucję poglądów na temat zarządzania. Drugi rozdział zwiera szczegółową analizę pojęcia „menedżer” oraz pełny opis ról, jakie ten pełni w organizacji, z podziałem na cechy charakteru i umiejętności, jakie powinna posiadać osoba sprawująca funkcje kierownicze. W trzecim rozdziale zostały przedstawione style kierowania stosowane przez menedżerów, wraz z opisem technik kierowania ludźmi. Czwarty rozdział zawiera metodologiczne podstawy pracy, w trakcie której przebadano 32 Dyrektorów Placówek Bankowych. W rozdziale piątym zaprezentowano graficzną analizę danych oraz wnioski z badań.

The purpose of this study was to present the role of a contemporary manager and his effectiveness based on the proper selection of management styles in Blanchard's situational model. The research was conducted on the example of people employed as Bank Branch Directors at Credit Agricole Bank Polska S. A. The study was carried out on the basis of three main hypotheses: • the effectiveness of a manager does not only depend on the style of team leadership he or she uses in his or her work, but also on the level of business awareness of the employees he or she manages, • the effectiveness of a manager is a result of not only knowledge and experience, but also intuition, • team management based on the Blanchard model is a sufficient concept to achieve success in such a large organization as the Bank. The work has been divided into five chapters. The first chapter presents the historical background, key concepts and evolution of management views. The second chapter contains a detailed analysis of the concept of the definition of the word “manager” and a full description of his or her roles in the organisation, distinguishing between character traits and skills that should be possessed by a person holding managerial positions. In the third chapter, the management styles used by managers are presented, along with a description of the management techniques. The fourth chapter contains the methodological basis of the work, during which 32 Bank Branch Directors were examined. The fifth chapter presents a graphical analysis of data and conclusions from the research.
