Poziom i struktura lęku a samoocena u matek uczestniczących w programie Szkoła dla Rodziców i Wychowawców

Abstract

Niniejsza praca stanowi studium teoretyczno-empiryczne odnoszące się do problematyki lęku i samooceny u matek. Celem niniejszej pracy jest udzielenie odpowiedzi na pytanie badawcze: Czy i jakie powiązania występują w zakresie poziomu i struktury lęku a samooceną u matek uczestniczących w programie Szkoła dla Rodziców i Wychowawców. Podstawą do udzielenia odpowiedzi na to pytanie była analiza wyników badań 60 matek uczestniczących w programie. W badaniach wykorzystano następujące metody psychologiczne: Arkusz Samopoznania Cattella, Inwentarz Stanu i Cechy Lęku STAI Spielbergera, Gorsucha i Lushene’a, Skala Samooceny Rosenberga oraz Ankieta Własnej Konstrukcji. Wyniki pokazały, że występują powiązania pomiędzy poziomem i strukturą lęku a samooceną u matek uczestniczących w programie. Dowiedziono, że wraz ze wzrostem lęku, samoocena ulega obniżeniu. Oznacza to, że matki z wysokim poziomem lęku, są skłonne do myślenia o sobie w sposób negatywny, wykazują niezadowolenie z siebie, a nawet brak akceptacji. Najsilniejszą korelację ujemną wykazano pomiędzy samooceną matek a lękiem jako cechą. Dowodzi to, że matki charakteryzuje lęk, który jest określany jako względnie stała dyspozycja osobowości i może być silniejszy niż obiektywnie sytuacja na to wskazuje.

This thesis is an academic and experiential study related to the issues of mothers’ anxiety and selfassessment. The aim of the thesis is to give the answer to the research question: if and what are the links in the area of level and structure of anxiety and self-assessment among mothers taking part in the program School for Teachers and Educators. The basis to give the answer to the question was the research results’ analysis of 60 mothers taking part in the program. The following psychological methods were used: Cattell’s Self-knowledge Sheet, Spielberg, Gorsucha and Lushene’s State-Trait Anxiety Inventory STAI test, Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale and self-made Questionnaire. The results showed connections between the level and structure of anxiety and the self-assessment. It was proved that with the increase of anxiety, the self-assessment was lowered. It means that mothers with high level of anxiety tend to think negatively about themselves, show dissatisfaction and even lack of acceptance. The strongest negative correlation was proved between mothers’ self-assessment and anxiety as a trait. It proves that mothers are charcterised by anxiety which is specified as relatively stable personality disposition and it may be stronger than the situation objectively shows.
