Rola Synodu w zarządzaniu Kościołem na przykładzie diecezji tarnowskiej

Abstract

Celem pracy jest określenie roli synodu w zarządzaniu Kościołem. Kościół Katolicki jest specyficzną formą organizacji, a jednym z elementów zarządzania nim jest synod biskupów. Synod jest obecny w Kościele od zarania jego dziejów, ale zmienia się wraz ze zmianami, jakie w nim zachodzą. Obecnie w Tarnowie odbywa się V synod tej diecezji. Jest to dobra okazja do zbadania roli synodu. By to uczynić, sięgnięto do źródeł historycznych i dostępnych dokumentów, przeprowadzono badania ankietowe wśród wiernych świeckich diecezji, a także pięć wywiadów z przedstawicielami duchowieństwa: dwa na temat synodu ogólnie i trzy na temat obrad V Synodu Diecezji Tarnowskiej w kontekście najnowszych wydarzeń. W wyniku tych badań stwierdzono, że zrządzanie w klasycznym rozumieniu tego słowa nie przekłada się na zarządzanie w instytucji, jaką jest Kościół Katolicki. Natomiast synod odgrywa w zarządzaniu Kościołem doniosłą rolę, co pokazuje V Synod Diecezji Tarnowskiej, który ma charakter przełomowy i wnosi do Kościoła określoną jakość.

The aim of this study is to define the role of the synod in the management of the Church. The Catholic Church is a specific form of organization, and one of the elements of its management is the synod of bishops. The synod has been present in the Church from the very beginning of its history, but it transforms with the changes taking place within it. Currently, the 5th synod of the Tarnów Diocese is taking place. This is a good opportunity to explore the role of the synod. To do this, historical sources and available documents were consulted, a survey was conducted among the secular faithful of the diocese, as well as five interviews with representatives of the clergy: two about the synod in general and three about the proceedings of the 5th Synod of the Tarnów Diocese in the context of the latest events. As a result of this study, it was found that management in the classic sense of the word does not translate into management in an institution such as the Catholic Church. On the other hand, the synod plays an important role in the management of the Church, as shown by the 5th Synod of the Tarnów Diocese, which is ground-breaking and brings a specific quality to the Church.
