W ostatnich czasach terroryzm stał się jednym z największych problemów współczesnego świata. Atak terrorystyczny na Stany Zjednoczone 11 września 2001 roku uświadomił społeczności międzynarodowej, jak niebezpiecznym zjawiskiem jest terroryzm motywowany względami religijnymi, szczególnie tymi, które reprezentują islamskie organizacje terrorystyczne.

Terrorism has become one of the most challenging problems of the contemporary world. The terrorist attack on the United States on 11th September 2001 made the international community aware of how dangerous terrorism can be, especially as it is driven by religious motifs, as those represented by Islamic terrorist organizations.
