The main aim of the dissertation was to explore attitudes and opinions regarding a company named Mineral Complex as well as establishing the level of general public’s knowledge of mineral water. Its additional goal was to elaborate on solutions which could positively influence sales and marketing efforts of products belonging to Przedsiebiorstwo Wielobranzowe Mineral Complex Limited. The study was completed through the use of both qualitative questionnaire, that assessed customers’ views in relation to polish mineral waters’ market in Poland, as well as author’s expertise gained during his long-term career in the market in question. The study was undertaken in August and reached 200 people in its scope. The most important results of the study showed that the market is extremely demanding and brands without appropriate marketing strategies and funds are unable to gain sufficient competitiveness crucial to their success. Furthermore, the obtained results showed that it is extremely difficult for the audience to differentiate mineral from spring water. Despite the fact that consumers were asked regarding types of water that they drank, the majority answered with mineral or spring, answers provided in latter questions proved their inability to distinguish one type from another. Findings also highlighted that respondents most frequently purchase waters in plastic bottles, from two or three brands of a similar quality. Those are bought in shopping malls or convenience stores and the most significant factor in the decision-making process are their flavours and price. The analysis’ results of the Mineral Complex company indicated its products are located in the mid-market and showed areas where improvements could be made in order to enhance its competitiveness.
