Porównanie rentowności inwestycji we własną infrastrukturę IT w stosunku do profesjonalnych usług zewnętrznych wyspecjalizowanych podmiotów, świadczonych w modelu SaaS

Abstract

Praca zawiera analizę porównawczą dwóch metod stosowanych w przedsiębiorstwach w zakresie utrzymywania infrastruktury IT wraz z oprogramowaniem. Pierwsza z nich to metoda „On-Premise” czyli zakup infrastruktury sprzętowej, licencji, usług wdrożeniowych, utrzymanie działu IT, druga natomiast jest metodą SaaS czyli Software as a Service (oprogramowanie jako usługa). Dane dotyczące kosztów rozwiązań IT zostały oparte o informacje pochodzące od integratorów informatycznych z województwa śląskiego. Wyniki pracy mają pokazać, która z metod jest z ekonomicznego punktu widzenia metodą tańszą i bardziej opłacalną dla każdej firmy niezależnie od jej wielkości. Ponadto praca będzie próbą odpowiedzi na pytanie jakie czynniki decydują o wyborze metody i kiedy należy zmienić metodę „On-Premise” na „SaaS” lub odwrotnie. Zastosowana w pracy metodologia analizy porównawczej wskazuje jednoznacznie na przewagę metody SaaS nad metodą On-Premise w szczególności w małych i średnich firmach. W dużych firmach w zależności od zastosowanego oprogramowania może zachodzić rozważenie decyzji czy „On-Premise” czy „SaaS”. Na podstawie symulacji można wyodrębnić kluczowe elementy decydujące o wyborze metody. Są nimi: - Koszt zakupu sprzętu i usług (inwestycja początkowa), - Dostępność rozwiązania w tej konfiguracji (TIER1) w skali roku (SLA), - Koszt wykorzystania serwerów przy usługach SaaS.

This dissertation contains the comparative analysis of two methods applied in companies in a scope of maintenance of IT infrastructure with software. The first one is the “On-premise” method which means purchasing of hardware infrastructure, licenses, implementation services, maintenance of IT department, whereas the second one is the SaaS method which means Software as a Service. The data related to costs of IT solutions are based on information obtained from information integrators from Silesian Voivodeship. The results of this dissertation should present which method, from economical point of view, is a cheaper and more cost-effective one for each company regardless its size. Additionally, this dissertation is an attempt to answer what factors determine selection of the method and when the “On-Premise” method should be replaced by “Saas” one, or conversely. Methodology used in dissertation clearly shows the advantage of the method SaaS in particular for small and medium-sized companies. In large companies, depending on the software used can proceed to consider the decision and "On-Premise" or "SaaS". Based on the simulation can select key elements to choosing a method. These are: - The cost of the purchase of equipment and services (initial investment), - Availability solutions in this configuration (TIER1) per year (SLA), - The cost of server with SaaS services.
