Percepcja postaw rodzicielskich a poczucie koherencji u młodzieży

Abstract

Postawy rodziców mają bardzo istotny wpływ na rozwój i życie dzieci. Od nich zależy jakie dziecko posiada umiejętności radzenia sobie ze stresem oraz poziom poczucia koherencji. Celem pracy było określenie zależności pomiędzy spostrzeganiem postaw rodzicielskich a poczuciem koherencji i jego komponentami u młodzieży. Przyjęto definicję postawy rodzicielskiej jako nabytej struktury kierującej zachowaniem się rodziców w stosunku do dzieci. Badania opierają się na teorii salutogenetycznej, określającej poczucie koherencji, jako orientację człowieka, wyrażającą poczucie, że napływające bodźce są ustrukturalizowane, przewidywalne i wytłumaczalne. Hipotezy badawcze dotyczyły istnienia dodatniej korelacji postaw rodzicielskich z poczuciem koherencji i jego komponentami oraz występowania różnic w zakresie percepcji postaw rodzicielskich między grupami osób o wysokimi i niskimi poczuciu koherencji. W prezentowanych w pracy badaniach zastosowano Skalę Postaw Rodzicielskich (SPR) opracowaną przez M. Plopę do ujęcia percepcji postaw rodzicielskich i Kwestionariusz Orientacji Życiowej (SOC – 29) autorstwa A. Antonovskiego do pomiaru poczucia koherencji i jego komponentów. Uczestniczyło w nich 240 osób (120 kobiet i 120 mężczyzn) w wieku 18 i 19 lat, uczniów Liceum Ogólnokształcącego im. A. Grottgera w Grybowie. Uzyskane wyniki badań częściowo potwierdziły zakładane hipotezy wykazując współwystępowanie postaw rodzicielskich matki i ojca z poczuciem koherencji i jego komponentami. Stwierdzono, że osoby różniące się pod względem poczucia koherencji, przejawiają różnice w percepcji postaw rodziców.

Parental attitudes have a crucial influence on children’s development and their lives. Children’s skills in coping with stress and a sense of coherence they achieve are dependent on parental attitudes. The main goal of this thesis is defining correlations between perception of parental attitudes and a sense of coherence and its components in youth. The definition of parental attitude has been accepted as an acquired structure directing parents’ behaviour in relation to their children. The research is based on the Salutogenetic Theory, determining a sense of coherence as man’s orintation which expresses incoming stimuli as structured, predictable and explainable. The research hypotheses concerned the existence of a positive correlation and parental attitudes with a sense of coherence and its components. Additionally, those hypotheses proved there are differences between parental attitudes in groups of people with a high level of a sense of coherence when compared to those with a low levels of coherence. In this work Parental Attitude Scale by M. Plopa has been applied to test perception of parental attitudes. Sense of Coherence SOC – 29 by A. Antonovsky has been applied, as well, for evaluation of coherence and its components. The research has been conducted on a group of 240 people. It included 120 men and 120 women at the ages of 18 and 19. The group tested are students of a Secondary Grammar School named after A. Grottger in Grybów. The results obtained have partially proved the hypotheses and therefore showing the coexistence of parental attitudes in both mother and father with a sense of coherence and its components. It has been certified that people differing in terms of a sense of coherence show variations in perception of parental attitudes.
