Instytucje niepubliczne charakteryzuje przede wszystkim oczekiwana wysoka stopa zwrotu zainwestowanego kapitału, inwestują swój kapitał w średnio i długoterminowe przedsięwzięcia.
Innovation is a very old concept whose origins can be traced back to the Middle Ages. It comes from the Latin word - innovatio. According to Peter Drucker, it is "(...) the specific tool of entrepreneurs, which the businessman can use to make the opportunity to take a new business or to provide new services." There are many ways to finance innovation, the most important of which are EU funds (Programme Innovative Economy and Human Capital Program) and private investors funds . Private investors are venture capital funds, private equity funds and business angels. The non- public institutions characterize primarily the expected high rate of return on invested capital and invest their capital in the medium and long term projects.
