Wpływ długotrwałego stresu pracowniczego pielęgniarek szpitala im. J. Śniadeckiego w Nowym Sączu na ich wypalenie zawodowe

Abstract

Przedmiotem mojego zainteresowania są następstwa zdrowotne długotrwałego stresu w środowisku pielęgniarek pracujących w szpitalu. Praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów merytorycznych i jednego badawczego. W metodologii badań sformułowany został problem, cele i dwie hipotezy badawcze. Celem empirycznym jest rozpoznanie czynników i sytuacji stresogennych oraz ustalenie zakresu ich wpływu na wypalenie zawodowe pielęgniarek. Uzupełnieniem tych badań jest analiza metod radzenia sobie ze stresem przez respondentki. Do badań wykorzystano metodę sondażu diagnostycznego a narzędziem badawczym jest kwestionariusz ankiety zawierający 22 pytania jednokrotnego i wielokrotnego wyboru oraz pytania metryczkowe. W badaniu uczestniczyło 65 pielęgniarek pracujących na oddziałach: psychiatrii, chirurgii urazowej oraz anestezjologii. Najliczniejszą grupę stanowił personel ze stażem pracy do trzydziestu lat. Pielęgniarki wyszczególniają wiele czynników i sytuacji stresogennych oraz diagnozują u siebie symptomy wypalenia zawodowego. Często nie potrafią dostatecznie radzić sobie z długotrwałym stresem, pomimo znajomości przebiegu reakcji stresowej i następstw psychosomatycznych tej reakcji. Respondentki zauważają, że stres ten ma bardzo znaczący wpływ na życie prywatne personelu pielęgniarskiego oraz ich zdrowie.

My subject of interests is the long-term health consequences of stress in the environment of nurses working in the hospital. The work consists of three theoretical chapters and one research chapter. In the research methodology the problem, objectives and two research hypotheses are formulated. The aim is to identify empirical factors and stressful situations and to determine the extent of their impact on nurses' burnout. Te analysis of the methods used by the respondents to cope with stress completes the research. The study applies the method of a diagnostic survey and the main research tool is a questionnaire consisting of 22 questions. Te questions require single or multiple choice answers and some of them are background questions. The study included 65 nurses working in the following units: psychiatry, trauma surgery and anaesthesia. The largest group included workers whose seniority was up to thirty years. Te nurses were able to list many factors and stressful situations, they were also capable of diagnosing the symptoms of burnout. Despite their familiarity with the course of stress reaction and some psychosomatic consequences of this reaction, the respondents expressed the substantial level of inability to cope with long-term stress. They also pointed out that stress had a very significant impact on their private life and health.
