Wpływ emigracji zarobkowej na sytuację w rodzinie

Abstract

Temat tyczy się wpływu emigracji na sytuację rodziny. Przedmiotem opisu było zjawisko eurosieroctwa, a celem ukazanie skutków, jakie odczuwają dzieci, których rodzice emigrują. Badanie jakościowe miało udowodnić to, że przekaz medialny, opisujący problem euro sieroctwa, jest zgoła odmienny od tego, który serwują badania i naukowcy. Porównano artykuły prasowe dotyczące eurosieroctwa z wynikami badań i z publikacjami naukowymi traktującymi o problemie. Dodatkowo przeprowadzono obserwację własną i wywiad pogłębiony, po czym wyniki skonfrontowano z publikacjami naukowymi oraz artykułami. Wyniki w przypadku pierwszego badania potwierdziły część hipotez. Media skupiały się głównie na opisywaniu najbardziej drastycznych historii dzieci. Potraktowały temat jako ciekawostkę i sensację. Nie spojrzały na niego obiektywnie. Tym sposobem przekazały odbiorcom błędny obraz. Z drugiej strony to media właśnie zainteresowały zjawiskiem rzesze ludzi, w tym instytucje państwowe. Dzięki temu starano się znaleźć sposób rozwiązania problemu eurosierot. W podsumowaniu napisano, że problem eurosieroctwa jest złożony i wielowymiarowy, bowiem wiele czynników decyduje o tym, w jakim stopniu wyjazd rodzica wpływa na dziecko. Stwierdzono również, że nie wolno generalizować i uogólniać problemu, należy natomiast każdy przypadek traktować indywidualnie. Dodano, że pomoc dla eurosierot powinny zapewnić liczne instytucje, takie jak domy dziecka, rodziny zastępcze, policja, sądy i tym podobne.

The paper deals with the impact of emigration on situation of families. The main focus was on the euro-orphan phenomenon and the aim was to show the effects of the experience of children whose parents had emigrated. Qualitative research was intended to prove that mass- media describe the euro-orphans problem in quite different way than scientific studies and researchers. Newspaper articles that dealt with euro-orphans were compared with results of studies and scientific publications devoted to this subject. In addition, own observations and an in-depth interview where conducted and their results were compared with scientific publications and articles in popular media. The results of the first study have confirmed some of my hypotheses. The media mainly focused on describing the most dramatic stories of children. The subject was treated as a peculiarity and sensation. The media did not look at the subject in an unbiased way, therefore providing a distorted image to the readers. On the other hand, its the media which showed the problem to the broad public, including governmental institutions. This way they tried to solve the problem of euro-orphans. In the Conclusion I claim that the problem of euro-orphans is complex and multidimensional. Many factors decide about the extent to which a parent’s departure affects their child. It was also found that one should not generalize the subject and each case should be treated individually. Additionally, the support for euro-orphans should be provided by a number of institutions such as orphanages, foster families, police, courts and the like.
