Miejsce turystyki w strategii rozwoju na przykładzie miasta Limanowa

Abstract

Przedmiotem niniejszej pracy są zagadnienia teoretyczne dotyczące wpływu turystyki na rozwój społeczności lokalnej na przykładzie miasta Limanowa. Autor konfrontuje oficjalne zapisy strategii rozwoju regionu z własną opinią, która utwierdzona zostaje w wyniku zebranych przez autora danych statystycznych oraz przeprowadzonej analizy SWOT. Szeroko zostały opisane walory wypoczynkowe i atrakcje turystyczne miasta. Dokonano też analizy i porównania wieloletnich oficjalnie zapisanych strategii rozwoju. Na tej podstawie możliwa była ocena rzeczywistych działań. Autor dostrzega i docenia starania władz w rozwój turystyki miasta Limanowa, jednak w konkluzji uznaje iż wiele szans zostało zmarnowanych i oficjalnie zapisane strategie pozostały tylko w sferze planów.

The thesis concentrates on the theoretical aspects of the influence of tourism on the development of the local community based on the example of Limanowa. The author confronts the official town strategy of the development of the region with his own opinion supported by the results of SWOT analysis. The author describes extensively the tourist attractions of the town. The work contains the analysis and comparison of the former official town development strategies as well as the assessment of their results. The author portrays the efforts of the town management in developing tourism but nevertheless concludes that a lot of plans and official strategies have not been fulfilled.
