Ocena efektywności funduszu inwestycyjnego

Abstract

Głównym celem inwestycyjnym funduszu Brown Shipley jest zapewnienie inwestorom dochodu, a także osiągniecie średniego rocznego zwrotu na poziome wyższym niż indeks giełdowy FTSE All Share Index. Niniejsza praca ma na celu ocenę efektywności zarządzania wybranych grup funduszu, wchodzących w skład funduszu inwestycyjnego Brown Shipley. Do analizy wykorzystano wyniki, jakie w ostatnim roku uzyskał fundusz inwestycyjny oraz indeks giełdowy a także informacje udostępniane inwestorom. W części badawczej porównane zostały ze sobą notowania dwóch grup funduszu inwestycyjnego Brown Shipley oraz indeksu giełdowego. W rezultacie przeprowadzonych badań wynika, iż tylko jedna grupa jest zarządzana efektywnie oraz ma wynik lepszy niż ten uzyskany przez indeks giełdowy. Wnioskiem wyłaniającym się po przeprowadzeniu analizy otrzymanych wyników jest fakt, iż grupa funduszy, która była lepiej zarządzana inwestowała głównie w sektory najmniej dotknięte kryzysem finansowym.

The main investment objective of Brown Shipley fund is to provide investors with income and achieve higher average annual return than the average return of FTSE All Share Index. This paper aims to assess the effectiveness of how the selected groups of Brown Shipley fund are managed. Data of investment fund and stock market index from last year as well as information provided to investors were used to analyze the effectiveness. In the research part of work the quotes of two groups from investment fund and index were compared. Studies show that only one group is managed efficiently and has a better result than that obtained by the stock market index. Conclusion made after the studies shows that the group with better results invested mainly in the sectors least affected by the financial crisis.
