The main purpose of the master's thesis is to prove the accordance of two different valuation methods. First one is method of discounted cash flows (DCF) and second one is method of economic value added (EVA). The value of the company counted by those two methods separately should give similar result and the difference in the outcome of the valuation shouldn't differ. The valuation has been done to find the true value of the company
given by the valuation methods and compare them to each other and to the value of the company at the stock market. The research have been made for Swissmed which is listed at Warsaw stock market. The beginning of valuation were historical data of previous 5 years of the company. The data were the base for preparing the forecast for the next 10 of the valuation. The forecast included sale, profit and loss statement and balance sheet. After that it was possible to prepare the true valuation using both valuation methods. The outcome of the valuation is stated in the thesis. As the result of the valuations based on DCF and EVA methods, it was clear that the outcomes are the same and there is a true accordance between those valuation models. Furthermore the outcome of the valuation was compared to the stock market price of shares and the conclusion was that the stock price is lower than valuation price due to optimistic forecast assumptions.
