Niniejsza praca magisterska ma na celu porównanie zachowań nabywczych studentów pierwszego i ostatniego roku studiów licencjackich w odniesieniu do następujących produktów: pasty do zębów, papieru toaletowego i mydła. Badania miały na celu porównanie czynników wpływających na formowanie się preferencji marki, lojalności wobec danej marki, zakupów marek producentów i marek własnych sklepów. Postawiono cztery hipotezy.
This thesis aims to compare the purchasing behavior of both first and final year students of undergraduate studies in regards to the following products: toothpaste, toilet paper and soap. The main aim of the study was to compare the factors influencing the formation of brand preferences, brand loyalty, purchasing of manufacturers' brands and of private labels. The author has formed four hypotheses. In order to conduct the study a questionnaire was used. It was completed by students from Rzeszów. The quantitative data gathered was then statistically analyzed using the chi-square test as well as Cramer's Phi and Phi in order to determine the strength of association between the studied characteristics. The results confirmed that the first year students formulate their purchasing preferences differently from the final year students, although both groups are more influenced by internal factors, relating to a particular brand or are influenced by both internal and external factors rather than the external (social) factors. Students of the first year proved to be more loyal consumers from the final year students. They were also more willing to buy manufacturers brands then private labels.
