Political leadership. A woman in politics

Abstract

Political leadership has been a topic of analysis since Antiquity. It can be seen already in the works of Aristotle and many other philosophers. This topic is still significant. That is why the author decided to elaborate the subject of leadership in politics giving an emphasis on women’s participation in politics, as well as developing the model of a woman-politician. In the first part the author describes political leadership and its characteristics, purposes, tasks, as well as the overview of a political leader. The second part is based on the biographies of the female political leaders, due to which the author determines the phenomenon of a female political leadership and to identify the means of an effective impact of political leaders. After presenting four biographies, a political leader nowadays is discussed, and, finally, the model of a woman-politician is worked out.
