Teatr Muzyczny Roma a jego dyrektor Wojciech Kępczyński - czyli jak zarządzać teatrem

Abstract

Tematem niniejszej jest: "Teatr Muzyczny Roma, a jego dyrektor Wojciech Kępczyński, czyli jak zarządzać teatrem". Pierwsza część pracy przedstawia ogólne zagadnienia dotyczące funkcjonowanie teatrów w Polsce oraz wybrane elementy z zarządzania instytucją kultury, następnie przedstawiony został wywiad z dyrektorem Teatru Muzycznego Roma, który miał na celu przedstawienie jego wpływu na teatr, na wizerunek i pozycję teatru na rynku (konkurencyjność). Oprócz przeprowadzonego wywiadu do badania wykorzystano roczną obserwację Teatru Roma. Wyniki badania potwierdziły słuszność postawionych wcześniej hipotez. Analiza wywiadu wskazała na istnienie zależności pomiędzy funkcjonowaniem teatru i działalnością jego dyrektora. Wynika z niego również, że Teatr Roma działa zarówno dzięki pieniądzom sponsorów, jak i z własnych zysków. Co więcej, odpowiedni dobór spektakli i obsady artystycznej jest nieodłącznym elementem skutecznego działania teatru.

The subject of herein dissertation is Musical Theatre Roma and its director Wojciech Kepczynski and how to manage the institution of theatre. The first part of this work presents the general issues concerning the functioning of theatres in Poland and some aspects of theatre management, too. The next part of the dissertation regards the interview with the director of musical theatre Roma which was to clearly display the director's impact on the theatre, its image and market position (competitiveness). Apart from the interview itself, the annual observation of theatre Roma has been done and taken into account while creating the thesis, The results of this kind of research undoubtedly helped to prove the initially formulated hypothesis. The analysis of the interview shows the relations between the theatre functioning and its director. It also leads to the conclusion that the theatre operates successfully not only thanks to the financial assets of its sponsors but also thanks to its own profits. What is more, not only is the selection of performances but also the cast an inherent part of the success of the theatre.
