Celem pracy jest ocena wpływu Internetu na funkcjonowanie komunikacji marketingowej i jej efektywność. Wśród celów szczegółowych pracy należy wymienić: identyfikacja opinii postaw i zachowań studentów i wykładowców dotyczących przede wszystkim strony Uczelni, rozpoznanie działań i instrumentów wykorzystywanych przez Uczelnię realizujących handel w Internecie, propozycja na udoskonalenie komunikacji marketingowej Uczelni w hipermedialnym środowisku internetowym. W niniejszej pracy, a konkretniej w badaniu w niej zawartym, zostały przyjęte następujące hipotezy: H1: komunikacja marketingowa za pomocą Internetu jest skuteczna, jest jedną z podstawowych form porozumiewania się między studentami i wykładowcami WSB-NLU oraz z osobami z zewnątrz, H2: komunikacja marketingowa za pomocą Internetu usprawnia przepływ informacji między uczelnią a studentami, H3: interaktywna komunikacja marketingowa jako narzędzie umożliwiające wygodny dostęp do informacji z życia WSB-NLU. W celu weryfikacji postawianych hipotez przeprowadzono badania. Wykorzystano w nich informacje pochodzące ze źródeł wtórnych i pierwotnych. W badaniu bezpośrednim wykorzystano technikę ankiety internetowej i ankiety rozdawanej, w której narzędziem badawczym był kwestionariusz ankietowy. Badanie ilościowe zostało przeprowadzone wśród studentów i pracowników WSB-NLU. Postawiony cel został w pełni zrealizowany, udało się również pogłębić wiedzę autora na temat komunikacji marketingowej z wykorzystaniem Internetu. Przeprowadzone badanie ani nie obala ani nie potwierdza hipotezy. Połowa z ankietowanych stwierdziła, że komunikacja marketingowa za pomocą Internetu jest skuteczna, a druga połowa wyraziła zupełnie odmienne zdanie. Z informacji uzyskanych z odpowiedzi ankietowanych należy wnioskować, że mają oni dość dobry stosunek do strony WWW Uczelni.
This paper considers marketing communication in hypermedia internet environment. It presents the topic in two ways: theoretical and empirical. Theoretical part comprises chapters I and II, whereas empirical section is presented in chapters III and IV. The first chapter is devoted to selected methodological problems. Specific features of marketing communication process and models of the communication in hypermedia computer environment are presented in the chapter. Furthermore, factors that determine the effectiveness of marketing communication and methods for evaluating the effectiveness are presented as well. In the second chapter discusses selected issues concerning the use of the Internet in marketing communication. It includes an assessment of the Internet market and characteristics of functional development of the Internet. Additionally, the chapter contains description of marketing communication instruments in hypermedia internet environment, and presents the essence of designing and implementation of promotional activities using the Internet environment. The third chapter presents the use of the Internet in marketing communication on the example of WSB-NLU. The establishment and development of the University is described in it. An important part of the section is presentation of direct research results on the behavior of the respondents associated with Internet-based communication. In the chapter research assumptions characteristics of the respondents are presented. It also presents the results of studies on the behavior of the respondents, their opinions and attitudes towards marketing communication on the Internet. Chapter four presents the effectiveness of the use of the internet in marketing communication of WSB-NLU. It shows types of marketing research carried out by the University, the way it uses WEB 2.0 promotional tool and e-mail marketing. In addition, the chapter presents rules applicable to designing and implementation of promotional campaigns based on the Internet advertising. The paper is ends with a summary, that shows the conclusions from the research and verification of research hypothesizes. The summary also contains description of benefits and barriers of marketing communication in WSB-NLU and solutions suggested by the author, that might contribute to the improvement of communication process of WSB-NLU in the Internet.
