W pracy zostało przedstawione sprawozdanie finansowe spółki akcyjnej KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. w celu zbadania kondycji firmy w latach 2010-2012.
Przeprowadzenie badania było możliwe dzięki wykorzystaniu skonsolidowanych raportów rocznych Spółki oraz fachowej literatury dotyczącej sprawozdań finansowych.
Celem pracy było szczegółowe przeprowadzenie analizy wskaźnikowej, dzięki której dowiedzieć się można jak wyglądała rentowność, płynność, zadłużenie i efektywność wykorzystania aktywów w badanym okresie, ponadto został przedstawiony schemat modelu Du Ponta, z którego precyzyjnie można wyciągnąć wnioski o funkcjonowaniu przedsiębiorstwa.
W oparciu o literaturę i wyniki spółki KGHM należy stwierdzić, że firma we wszystkich badanych latach generuje zyski, nie ma problemów z płynnością, zadłużeniem, jednakże ma problemy z rotacją majątku, niskim wykorzystaniem dźwigni finansowej oraz gwałtownie rosnącymi kosztami.
Przeprowadzona analiza ujawniła, jak ważną rolę w firmie odgrywa sprawozdanie finansowe oraz jakie działania należy podjąć w celu usprawnienia procesu, aby w przyszłych latach Spółka mogła osiągać większe zyski.
In the thesis the financial statements of the joint stock company KGHM Polish Copper SA are investigated in order to evaluate the condition of the company in 2010-2012.
Conducting the study was possible due to the consolidated annual reports of the Company and the professional literature on the financial statements.
The aim of the study was to examine in detail the ratio analysis, through which one can learn about profitability, liquidity, debt and efficiency of use of assets during the period, moreover, a diagram of the model of Du Pont is presented, which can accurately draw conclusions about functioning of the company.
Based on the literature and the results of KGHM it should be noted that the company in all examined years generates profits, it has no problems with liquidity and debt, however, it has problems with the rotation of assets, low use of leverage and rapidly rising costs.
The analysis revealed the important role of the financial statement to the company, and what activities should be undertaken to improve the process for future years, for the Company to be able to gain more profits.
