Abstract

Praca zawiera informacje na temat elektronicznych kart płatniczych, możliwości oraz zagrożeń związanych z ich użytkowaniem. W rozdziale pierwszym znajduje się historia, ogólna definicja oraz rodzaje elektronicznych kart płatniczych, a także regulacje prawne z nimi związane. Rozdział drugi opisuje proces autoryzacji oraz różnice między paskiem magnetycznym a mikroprocesorem w karcie, ale też zwraca uwagę na przestępczość związaną z kartami i jej rodzaje. Trzeci z rozdział skupia się na kodzie PIN, jego generowaniu, weryfikacji oraz algorytmach kryptograficznych wykorzystywanych do jego szyfrowania. W rozdziale czwartym poruszane są kwestie bezpieczeństwa transakcji dokonywanych kartą płatniczą. Opisane są protokoły kryptograficzne, transakcje przez internet oraz karta wirtualna.

This BA thesis is about electronic payment cards. Particularly it relates to issues connected with opportunities and threats associated with their use. The first chapter contains the definition, sort of electronic payment card, history of their use and development. It also feature the law regulations. The second chapter is about process of authorization, differences between the magnetic stripe and a chip inside the card. Furthermore it also draw attention to the types of crime connected with using electronic card. The third chapter centres on the PIN code, the way of generating it and various types of verification. It contains also cryptographic algorithms used for the encryption. In the fourth chapter point out the matters connected with the safety of the payment by card. Here are described cryptographic protocols, transactions over the Internet and virtual card.
