Przedmiotem podjętych w pracy rozważań jest wartość pomocy publicznej dla rozwoju przedsiębiorczości i konkurencyjności na terenie Nowego Sącza w roku 2012. Poprzez analizę danych statystycznych określono wartość liczbową i rodzaje udzielonej pomocy publicznej. Natomiast poprzez badanie ankietowe, przeprowadzone wśród beneficjentów pomocy publicznej w Nowym Sączu w roku 2012 określono jej przydatność i wartość w ocenie samych zainteresowanych.
Celem badania było sprawdzenie, czy pomoc publiczna, udzielana w Nowym Sączu w określonych formach i o określonej wartości, jest odpowiednio przygotowanym i zbilansowanym narzędziem dla kształtowania przedsiębiorczości i konkurencyjności w regionie.
Pomoc publiczna dla przedsiębiorstw stanowi w Polsce jedno z najważniejszych narzędzi wspierania ich rozwoju i budowania konkurencyjności. Na terenie Nowego Sącza w roku 2012 została udzielona pomoc publiczna na łączną kwotę 5671 tys. złotych. Badanie ankietowe wykazało, że korzystają z niej przede wszystkim przedsiębiorstwa młode, które zatrudniają nie więcej niż 10 osób. Przedsiębiorczy rzadko uznają otrzymaną pomoc za wyznacznik dalszego istnienia ich firm, chociaż przyznają oni, że ma ona wpływ na ich działalność poprzez umożliwianie ich unowocześniania oraz zwiększania ich płynności finansowej. Z pomocy publicznej w Nowym Sączu w 2012 roku korzystali przede wszystkim ci przedsiębiorcy, którzy mieli dzięki niej okazję zaoszczędzić pewne środki na utrzymanie firmy, rzadko zaś przedsiębiorcy potrzebujący pomocy, aby pokonać przeciwności zagrażające dalszemu funkcjonowaniu ich firm.
The subject of the considerations undertaken in the following thesis is the value of public support for the development of entrepreneurship and competitiveness in Nowy Sącz in 2012. Numeric value and types of public support granted have been specified through the analysis of statistical data. In contrast, a survey conducted among the beneficiaries of public support in Nowy Sącz in 2012 has helped indicate its usefulness and value.
The aim of the study was to examine whether public support granted in Nowy Sącz in certain forms and of certain value is a properly prepared and balanced tool for the development of entrepreneurship and competitiveness in the region.
Public support for enterprises in Poland is one of the most important tools to support their development and build their competitiveness. In 2012 Nowy Sącz was granted support totaling 5,671,000 PLN. The survey showed that the support is used primarily by young companies that employ up to ten people. Entrepreneurs rarely acknowledge the support received as the determinant of the continued existence of their companies. However, they admit that it has an impact on their business by enabling them to innovate it and increase its liquidity. In 2012 in Nowy Sącz public support was used primarily by those entrepreneurs who, thanks to it, had an opportunity to save some resources to keep the company, and rarely by entrepreneurs in need of assistance to overcome adverse conditions threatening further existence of their companies.
