Preferencje polityczne uczniów klas maturalnych w Nowym Sączu

Abstract

Chcąc przewidzieć jak będzie wyglądała scena polityczna w Polsce za kilka lub kilkanaście lat należy rozpoznać zainteresowanie polityką wśród młodzieży. Ustalić jakie partie polityczne mogą liczyć na poparcie młodych ludzi. W tym celu przeprowadzono badania ankietowe wśród młodzieży z klas maturalnych uczących się w Nowym Sączu w roku szkolnym 2013/2014. Zebrane dane pozwoliły ustalić nie tylko na jakie partie polityczne młodzi ludzie oddadzą swój głos w nadchodzących wyborach parlamentarnych, ale również czy preferencje te różnią się od sympatii politycznych ich rodziców. Uzyskane wyniki porównano z analizami ośrodków badań społecznych, które od lat monitorują stosunek młodych ludzi do świata polityki. Stwierdzono, że młodzież źle ocenia demokrację, w większości nie interesuje się polityką, uważa świat polityki za obcy sobie, ludzi zaangażowanych w politykę za dbających o własne kariery, a nie o dobro ogółu. Według młodych ludzi partie polityczne nie słuchają opinii społecznej i nie reprezentują zwykłych obywateli, którzy nie mają wpływu na rząd. Badania potwierdziły założoną hipotezę co do braku zainteresowania młodzieży polityką, ale także w zakresie udzielenia poparcia w nadchodzących wyborach parlamentarnych partiom politycznym preferowanym przez ogół wyborców.

To predict changes on the Polish political scene in the coming years, one needs to examine how strong is the interest in politics among the young voters. One needs to determine which of the political parties can count on the support of the young people. In an effort to answer those questions a survey was conducted among the high school seniors graduating in 2014 in the city of Nowy Sącz. Collected data allowed not only to conclude which of the political parties will get their votes in the upcoming parliament elections, but also whether their political preferences are different from those of their parents. Survey results were compared to the analysis of the polling agencies that have for many years been monitoring attitude of the young people towards politics. The results confirm conclusions that young people are not satisfied with democracy, largely have no interest in politics in general, world of politics feels unfamiliar to them and the people involved in politics are perceived as looking after their own interest and not the general good. According to young students political parties are not attuned to the voice of the people and do not represent the interest of common voters that have no influence over the government. Conducted survey has confirmed not only the thesis that young people have no interest in politics, but also what support in the upcoming parliament elections will young people give to those political parties that are preferred by the majority of voters.
