Byli to uczniowie pierwszych i drugich klas Zespołu Szkół Drzewnych i Leśnych w Żywcu.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between perception of parents’ attitudes and the level of emotional intelligence of adolescents. There has been studied a group of 141 young people, including 75 girls and 66 boys, aged 16-17 years. They were students of first and second class of the Wood and Forestry School in Żywiec. For the measurement the variables there was used two questionnaires: Retrospective Assessment of Parents Bet Questionnaire (KPR-Roc) and Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire INTE.
General hypothesis, that there is a relationship between the emotional intelligence level of adolescents and their perception of parental attitudes of their parents, has been confirmed. The results indicate that positive parental attitudes, as opposed to negative attitudes, correlate positively with higher emotional intelligence of adolescents. The results of the study has shown that female adolescents exhibit a higher emotional intelligence than male adolescents. Positive relationships between parental attitudes and the high level of emotional intelligence are most visible in the relationships of mothers and daughters. The results suggest that appropriate education can have a significant impact on the development of emotional intelligence of adolescents. |
