Depresyjność a korelaty osobowościowe u studentów

Abstract

Niniejsza praca dotyczy związków pomiędzy depresyjnością a wymiarami osobowości u studentów szkół wyższych. Oprócz opisu zagadnień teoretycznych zaprezentowano badania własne, które zostały przeprowadzone, aby określić rodzaj i siłę związków pomiędzy poziomem depresyjności a osobowością studentów. Zaprezentowano wyniki próby obejmują 125 studentów studiów dziennych na różnym etapie edukacji. W badaniach zostały wykorzystane następujące narzędzia psychologiczne: Skala Depresji CES-D i Inwentarz Osobowości NEO-PI-R. Badania wykazały, że poziom depresyjności studentów najsilniej dodatnio koreluje z Neurotycznością (N), ujemnie i nieco słabiej z Ekstrawertycznością (E), ujemnie i słabo koreluje z Ugodowością (U) i Sumiennością (S). W niniejszej pracy nie stwierdzono istotnych statystycznie współzależności poziomu depresyjności z Otwartością na doświadczenie (O). Ponadto wyniki badań wskazały na występowanie różnic międzypłciowych odnośnie występowania korelacji depresyjności z czynnikami osobowości.

The present study refers to relationships between depressiveness and measurements of individuality of college students. In addition to the theoretical description the individual research was presented which was done to define the kind and the power of relationships between the level of depressiveness and individuality of students. It is the result of a sample of 125 full-time students at various stages of education. The following psychological tools were put-upon in the research: the Scale of Depression CES-D and the Individuality Inventory NEO-PI-R. The research showed that the level of depressiveness of students is the most strongly positively correlated with Neuroticism (N), negatively and a little more weakly with Extravertedness (E), negatively and weakly is correlated with Amicability (A) and Conscientiousness (C). In the present study there were not found statistically essential correlation of the depressiveness level with the Openness to experience (O). More over, findings indicated the occurrence of intersexual differences in relation to appearance of correlation of depressiveness with personality factors.
