Ze względu na tak ważną rolę policji w naszym społeczeństwie właśnie na nią zwrócono uwagę w przedmiotowej pracy. Celem pracy jest analiza, której przedmiotem będzie ukazanie roli policji w systemie bezpieczeństwa i porządku publicznego. Rozdział pierwszy stanowi wprowadzenie do całościowej analizy tematu, przedstawiając charakterystykę pojęć bezpieczeństwa oraz porządku publicznego. W rozdziale tym została również przedstawiona historia kształtowania się policji. W rozdziale drugim zawarto zadania i kompetencje policji opisując jej strukturę organizacyjną. Rozdział trzeci został w całości poświęcony bezpieczeństwu obywateli, wskazano i omówiono w nim społeczną rolę policji poświęcając dużą uwagę policjantom pionu prewencji. Policja odgrywa centralną rolę w systemie bezpieczeństwa i porządku publicznego. Formacja ta w sposób szczególny stosując prawo jest najbardziej widoczną formacją, organizacją kontroli społecznej dla przeciętnego obywatela. Wynika to przede wszystkim z faktu dużej liczby funkcjonariuszy oraz sposobów i metod realizowania zadań ustawowych. Istnienie Policji w ówczesnym świecie jest kwestią bezsporną, Policja musi istnieć, czy tego chcemy czy nie.The Police realize their tasks exert impact on every sphere of social life nation entering into the life and freedom of the citizen. In view of such an important role police in our society it has just drawn attention in this subject thesis. The purpose of this thesis is analysis, which subject will be show the role of the police in system security and public order. The first chapter is an introduction comprehensive analysis of the topic, presents the characteristics of the concepts of security and public order. In this chapter has also presented the history of the formation of the police. In second chapter has contained the tasks and competences of the police describing its organizational structure. The third chapter has fully devoted to the safety of citizens, identified and discussed the social role of the police devote much attention prevention policy department. Police plays a central role in the security and public order. This formation in a special way apply the law, it is the most visible formation, organization of social control for the average citizen. It is results first of all from fact a large number of officers, the ways and methods of preforms statutory provisions.
