Implementation of modern management methods can influence functioning of public entities. In the article, barriers for perspectives of proinnovative implementations in the public sector are presented and can be an inspiration for further research. The empirical part of the article characterizes the product innovation in processes of a mature organization based data from a district office taken as a case study. An analysis of public processes in this public entity – Ãrem Municipal Office – is presented.
