Poczucie humoru a poczucie jakości życia u osób starszych

Abstract

Przeprowadzone badania miały na celu znalezienie odpowiedzi na pytanie, czy poczucie humoru ma wpływ na poczucie jakości życia u osób starszych. Postawiono hipotezę mówiącą o tym, że konstruktywny styl poczucia humoru (humor afiliacyjny lub wzmacniający „ja”) sprawia, że poczucie jakości życia jest wyższe. Natomiast destruktywny styl poczucia humoru (humor agresywny lub samodeprecjonujący) powoduje, że jakość życia jest niższa. W celu sprawdzenia czy poczucie humoru istotnie wpływa na poczucie jakości życia, wykorzystano dwa kwestionariusze-HSQ R. Martina oraz Kwestionariusz Poczucia Jakości Życia M. Straś-Romanowskiej. W badaniu wzięło udział 120 osób w wieku od 60 do 76 lat. Osoby badane były mieszkańcami Nowego Sącza i okolicznych miejscowości. Analiza współczynników korelacji r-Pearsona pozwoliła określić, że konstruktywne poczucie humoru wpływa na wyższe poczucie jakości życia w każdej ze sfer funkcjonowania-psychofizycznej, psychospołecznej, podmiotowej i metafizycznej. Natomiast poczucie humoru destruktywne wpływa na obniżenie poczucia jakości życia w wyżej wymienionych sferach.

A one’s own research has been conducted for the purpose of finding the answer to the question whether the sense of humour has an influence on the sense of the quality of life among the elderly. There has been moved a hipothesis that the constructive humour (affiliative or self-enhancing) makes the quality of life higher. However the destructive humour (aggresive or self-defeating) makes the quality of life lower. In order to examine whether the sense of humour has an essential influence on the quality of life Humor Styles Questionnaire by Rod Martin and The Sense of Quality of Life by Maria Straś- Romanowska has been used. 120 people, age 60 to 76 took part in the research. The were from Nowy Sącz and adjoining towns. The analysis of Pearson’s Correlation Coefficent showed that constructive sense of humour has an influence on higher level of quality of life in all function spheres- psychophisical, psychosocial, subjectivity and metaphisical. However the destructive sense of humour lowers the level of the quality of life in all spheres mentioned above.
