Abstract

Tematem pracy jest analiza skuteczności procesu prywatyzacji przedsiębiorstw państwowych w Polsce i ocena jego skutków na przykładzie PKP Cargo.Głównym celem pracy jest analiza skuteczności procesu prywatyzacji w branży kolejowej na przykładzie przedsiębiorstwa PKP Cargo oraz ocena efektów przeprowadzonego procesu. Głównym założeniem procesu prywatyzacji PKP Cargo było pozyskanie środków finansowych niezbędnych do redukcji zadłużenia oraz do kontynuowania procesu restrukturyzacji przedsiębiorstwa. Dzięki zastosowaniu właściwej metody przekształcenia spółki udało się pozyskać niezbędne fundusze. Kolejnym sukcesem przedsiębiorstwa było skuteczne przeprowadzenie procesu napraw oraz wymiany użytkowanego taboru. Było to ważnym elementem strategii rozwoju, który prowadzi do podniesienia jakości świadczonych usług co wzmacnia pozycję konkurencyjną przedsiębiorstwa na rynku. Prywatyzacja przedsiębiorstw państwowych jest zjawiskiem pozytywnym. Zwiększa wpływy do budżetu państwa oraz prowadzi do zwiększenia konkurencyjności na rynku. Warunkiem skuteczności procesów prywatyzacyjnych jest po przeprowadzeniu analizy sytuacji danego przedsiębiorstwa, ocenie wskaźników finansowych oraz konkurencji dobranie odpowiedniej metody przekształceń dzięki, której sprywatyzowana spółka wprowadzona zostanie przez nowego właściciela na drogę rozwoju.

The subject of the thesis is the analysis of the process of privatizing state-owned enterprises in Poland and the assessment of its effects on the example of PKP Cargo. The main goal of the paper is to analyze the effectiveness of the privatization process in the railway sector on the example of PKP Cargo and to evaluate the effects of the implemented process. The main assumption for the process of privatizing PKP Cargo was to obtain financial resources necessary in order to reduce debt and to continue the restructuring process in the enterprise. Thanks to the implementation of the proper method of transforming the company, necessary funds were collected. Another success of the enterprise was the successful implementation of the process of repairs and replacement of the used rolling stock. It constituted a vital element in the development strategy, which leads to the improvement of the quality of offered services, which, in turn, improved the competitive position of the company on the market. The privatization of the state-owned enterprises is a positive phenomenon. It increases the state budget revenues and improves the competitiveness on the market. Having conducted the analysis of a situation of a given enterprise, and evaluated the financial indicators and the competition of the company, it is necessary to select a proper transformation method, thanks to which the privatized company will be placed on a new road to development by its new owner.
