    Analiza działań podejmowanych przez przedsiębiorstwa w obliczu kryzysu gospodarczego

    The following article aims at analyzing measures adopted by companies which had to face the economic crisis in 2008. The main method chosen for that aim was interviews with managers, which attempted at determining the character of actions undertaken by companies to secure their ‘survival’. Such approach to the problem focuses more on ‘remedial’ restructuring rather than on directions for future development. It must be stressed, however, that the presented results of empirical research cannot be treated as representative but rather as pilot study, since they aim at identifying initial behaviors taken up by managers facing the economic crisis.

    Dochody z prywatyzacji przedsiębiorstw a dochody z kapitału skarbu państwa w latach 1991 - 2006

    The aim of this article is to compare income of the State Budget received from the Treasury capital and from privatising state companies between 1991 and 2006. The article compares the income from privatisation and from dividend payments and obligatory payments on income from state-owned companies and one-man Treasury-owned companies, with special attention paid to the issue of the change of capital ownership in the process of privatisation. The issue is presented on a case study of income achieved from privatisation of PZU S.A. (The Common Insurance Plc) and the potential dividend which the State Treasury could have received from that capital group. The article also evaluates the change of attitude towards the problem of managing the state owned companies and other enterprises after 2005.

    At the beginning of 2008 the Ministry of Treasure presented its privatization targets and programme of activities planned for the period 2008 – 2011. This article aims at presenting guidelines and directions of the governmental programme as compared to dynamics of the privatization processes so far. The author continues to analyze the quota of income from privatization in the total Polish budget, holding it as a basic indicator of effectiveness of the privatization process. The efficacy of the programme implementation will be estimated in 2011 and Polish economy will be influenced by it for a lot more years to come.
