Harassment at work under the psychological perspective

Harassment at work also called „Mobbing”, it has been one of the most common and constant problem in the world of work. Repetitive hostile and unwanted verbal comments, actions or gestures can affect person's dignity and psychological integrity. The present studies reviews the psychological and social factors that are the grounds of mobbing at work, which starts by one or more people, who systematical, mentally persecute an other member of the group whom, being the victim of bullying, acts as a scapegoat. The results of a pragmatic study, that surveyed Polish workers in the field of medicine, presents the views of Polish workers whose are constantly under pressure. The thesis concludes with specific recommendations to organization managers and small businesses tradesman, that can help those mentally distressed people to deal with today world stress and mobbing in the workplace.
