    Non-governmental sector in Poland – opportunities and threats in the context of creating the civil society

    The main purpose of the article is to present the current circumstances of non-government organizations development and the key opportunities and threats in the process of launching ngos into the process of Polish civic society building. In the first part of the paper the stages of non-governmental sector development in Poland are described. The traditions of the so-called Third Sector in Poland and two main causative factors forming its development in the transition time are shown next. The increasing role of non-government organizations in shaping the civic society in Poland as the result of SWOT analysis of civic society is considered in the further parts of the paper.

    The main goal of this presentation is to present the challenges that non-governmental organizations face in regards to globalization. First a classification of multiple Polish non-profit organizations and the fields they have been working within between 1989 and 2006 is presented. In the further the attempt to answer for the following question: Do non-governmental organizations slow the globalization process, or are they responsible for mitigating some of the purported negative results? was done. At the end of the paper the impact that non-profit organizations have on the development of globalization and fragmentation was estimated.

    Struktura osobowości u młodzieży doświadczającej potraumatycznego wzrostu

    Przedstawiona praca badawcza łączy teorię z empirią. Badania przeprowadzone zostały by określić strukturę osobowości u osób doznających osobowego - potraumatycznego wzrostu. Przebadano 126 osób w wieku od 15 do 18 lat, z których 120 zakwalifikowano do dalszych analiz. w badaniu wykorzystano; Kwestionariusz Osobowego Wzrostu KOW – 27 wersja D/M Niny Ogińskiej – Bulik, Pięcioczynnikowy Inwentarz Osobowości NEO – PI – R autorstwa P. T. Costy, Jr. i R. R McCrae oraz Arkusz personalny własnej konstrukcji. Przeprowadzone analizy psychologiczne oraz statystyczne nakierowały na następujące wnioski. Młodzież prezentująca wyższy poziom osobowego wzrostu charakteryzuje się wyższym poziomem Ekstrawertyczności oraz Ugodowości. Zauważalne zmiany w kontekście doświadczenia traumy, młodzież referuje w obszarze kontaktów interpersonalnych, doceniania życia oraz percepcji siebie. Neurotyczność badanych nie jest modyfikatorem poziomu osobowego wzrostu.

    An attempt to determine the dimensions and criteria of efficiency evaluation in non-governmental organizations is made in the article. The specific character and key success factors in non-governmental organizations are discussed there as well. In the further the dimensions of effectiveness from the perspective of non-governmental organizations are characterized. An attempt to define the criteria of non-governmental organizations effectiveness evaluation is made in the end of the paper.

    The main goal of the paper was to outline the problem of strategy formulation, implementation, and control in non-governmental organisations. In the first part of article the factors strengthening importance of non-governmental organisations in polish economy were presented. Further on the authors described the specificity of strategic management in non-governmental organisations. In the next part of article the Balanced Scorecard adaptation to nongovernmental organisations was show. At the end of the paper an example of Balanced Scorecard implementation in selected foundation was presented.
