| dc.description.abstract | Niniejsza praca dotyczy związku pomiędzy cechami osobowości w modelu Wielkiej Piątki a poziomem immersji u graczy gier wideo. | pl |
| dc.description.abstract | This thesis concerns the relationship between personality traits in the Big Five model and the level of immersion among video game players. The study was conducted among 138 players using an online survey published on social media and forums for video game players. The Polish adaptation of the Immersion Questionnaire was used to measure immersion, while the TIPI-PL questionnaire was used to measure personality traits. The main aim of the thesis was to examine whether, and to what extent, Big Five personality traits are associated with immersion experienced while playing video games, and whether this level differs depending on selected variables related to gaming activity. The results indicate that most of the analyzed variables do not show statistically significant relationships with immersion. A positive relationship was observed for neuroticism; however, its significance was limited after taking control variables into account. A statistically significant positive relationship was found for gaming time, meaning that spending more time playing video games is associated with a higher level of immersion. The thesis indicates that immersion may be more strongly related to the intensity of the player’s activity than to their personality traits. | en |
