This master’s thesis analyzes the impact of online work on professional burnout and the level of positive orientation among psychotherapists. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between remote work and therapists’ psychological well-being, with particular emphasis on the mediating role of positive orientation. The quantitative empirical study was conducted electronically and involved a group of 100 professionally active Polish psychotherapists (85% women, 15% men). Two standardized tools were used to measure the variables: the Burnout Assessment Tool (BAT-PL) and the Positive Orientation Scale. Statistical analysis was performed to verify hypotheses concerning the correlation between engagement in online psychotherapy and the intensity of symptoms of exhaustion and psychological distancing. The results did not demonstrate a statistically significant relationship between online work and the severity of occupational burnout symptoms. However, the findings confirmed that online work was associated with a higher level of positive orientation in the studied group, as well as a negative relationship between positive orientation and burnout tendency, indicating its function as an important meta-resource protecting against occupational strain. The conclusions provide valuable insights into the impact of online work on psychotherapists’ well-being and may serve as a basis for further research aimed at broader exploration of the potential of online work and the development of preventive programs supporting the mental health of professionals.en
