The theoretical part presents the origin and significance of the Teacher's Card, the principles of teachers' remuneration, the teacher career advancement system, and the impact of legislative changes on public sector accounting and the operating costs of public schools. The empirical part is based on an analysis of payroll, personnel and accounting documentation of the examined educational institution. The purpose of the research was to assess the impact of legislative changes on the structure of teachers' remuneration, payroll calculation and accounting procedures, and the school's operating costs. The findings indicate that subsequent amendments to the Teacher's Card increased teachers' remuneration and the school's operating costs, while also requiring adjustments to payroll procedures and accounting records. The study confirms that these legislative changes have a significant impact on the functioning of public schools and the financial planning of local government units.
