Badania miały charakter ilościowy i zostały przeprowadzone z wykorzystaniem metod statystycznych. Analiza uzyskanych wyników wykazała istotną dodatnią zależność pomiędzy inteligencją emocjonalną a satysfakcją z życia oraz istotną ujemną zależność pomiędzy inteligencją emocjonalną a poziomem odczuwanego stresu.
Abstract The study was based on the concept of emotional intelligence as one of the key psychological resources that may influence an individual's functioning in various areas of life. The aim of the research was to address the following question: Is there a relationship between emotional intelligence, perceived stress, and life satisfaction among adult representatives of Generation Y? If so, what is the nature of this relationship? The study utilized the following standardized measurement tools: the Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (INTE), the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS), and the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-10). The study was quantitative in nature and employed statistical methods to analyze the collected data. The results revealed a significant positive relationship between emotional intelligence and life satisfaction, as well as a significant negative relationship between emotional intelligence and perceived stress. Additionally, higher levels of stress were associated with lower life satisfaction. Mediation analysis indicated that perceived stress partially mediated the relationship between emotional intelligence and life satisfaction. The findings highlight the important role of emotional intelligence as a psychological resource that supports effective stress management and contributes to higher levels of well-being.  en
