Abstrakt
The aim of this article is to identify and analyze key external factors,
which may possibly determine the future situation and restructuring processes
of Polish defence industry companies. The following driving forces have
been discussed: the predicted demand for armaments and military equipment
on the Polish internal market, possibilities of increasing the military export as
well as the influence and challenges connected with the accession of Poland
to The Code of Conduct on Defence Procurement of the EU Member States
Participating in the European Defence Agency. The analysis is based on the
empirical research conducted in defense companies (questionnaires) supported
by expert opinions including business, government agencies, scientists and
economic journalists. The article discusses also the direction and methods of
further scientific research within this area.
