Abstrakt
Praca magisterska poświęcona jest analizie związku między poziomem aktywności osób starszych a ich poczuciem satysfakcji życiowej i dobrostanu psychicznego. W części teoretycznej omówiono zagadnienia dotyczące procesu starzenia się, specyfiki funkcjonowania w późnej dorosłości oraz znaczenia aktywności w życiu seniorów. Przedstawiono psychologiczne ujęcia starości oraz czynniki sprzyjające utrzymaniu wysokiej jakości życia w okresie starzenia się. Część empiryczna opiera się na badaniu przeprowadzonym wśród 107 osób powyżej 60. roku życia, rekrutowanych głównie z uniwersytetów trzeciego wieku i klubów seniora. W badaniu zastosowano metodę ankiety z wykorzystaniem kwestionariusza ankietowego. Uzyskane wyniki wskazują na istotny związek między poziomem aktywności osób starszych a ich satysfakcją życiową i dobrostanem psychicznym. Praca podkreśla znaczenie aktywizacji seniorów jako ważnego elementu wspierania jakości życia i pomyślnego starzenia się.
The master’s thesis is devoted to the analysis of the relationship between the level of activity of older adults and their life satisfaction and psychological well-being. The theoretical part discusses issues related to the ageing process, the specificity of functioning in late adulthood, and the importance of activity in the lives of seniors. Psychological perspectives on old age are presented, along with factors supporting the maintenance of a high quality of life during the ageing process. The empirical part is based on a study conducted among 107 participants aged over 60 years, recruited mainly from Universities of the Third Age and senior clubs. The study employed a survey method using questionnaire instruments. The obtained results indicate a significant relationship between the level of activity of older adults and their life satisfaction and psychological well-being. The thesis emphasizes the importance of activating seniors as an important element supporting quality of life and successful ageing.
