Dobrostan psychiczny i funkcjonowanie rodzicielskie u polskich muzułmanek–matek przed i po interwencji Value Based Counseling (VBC) – wielokrotne studium przypadku
The aim of this study was to examine the early effects of a short-term values-based intervention (Value Based Counseling) on psychological well-being, parental functioning, and coping strategies among Polish Muslim mothers living abroad. The study employed a multiple case study design with a pre–post framework and involved five participants. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining standardized questionnaires (WHO-5, PSI-4, COPE, and the Positivity Scale) with semi-structured interviews conducted before and after the intervention. The findings indicate that the intervention contributed to improvements or qualitative reorganization of psychological well-being, increased self-awareness, and greater emotional stability among participants. Reductions in perceived parenting stress, enhanced parental self-efficacy, and improved emotional regulation were also observed. Furthermore, participants demonstrated greater psychological flexibility, more frequent use of social support, and an increased ability to recognize positive aspects of everyday life. The results suggest that Value Based Counseling may be a useful approach for supporting psychological well-being and adaptive functioning among Polish Muslim mothers living in migration contexts.
