W części teoretycznej omówiono podstawowe zagadnienia związane z marketingiem gier cyfrowych, rolą komunikacji z odbiorcami, budowaniem społeczności oraz znaczeniem danych analitycznych w procesie planowania i oceny skuteczności działań marketingowych.
The master’s thesis concerns the management of marketing strategies in the digital games industry. Its main objective is to present and compare selected marketing activities used in different segments of the game development market, with particular emphasis on indie games, high-budget productions, and casino games. The theoretical part discusses the basic issues related to digital game marketing, the role of communication with audiences, community building, and the importance of analytical data in the process of planning and evaluating the effectiveness of marketing activities. The thesis also highlights the dynamic nature of the industry, increasing competition, and the changing expectations of players. The research part focuses on the analysis of selected examples and the opinions of people associated with the games industry. The analysis indicates that effective marketing in game development requires not only an appropriate budget, but also knowledge of the target audience, consistent communication, flexibility, and the skilful use of available promotional channels. The thesis demonstrates that marketing strategies in the digital games industry are strongly dependent on the nature of the project and market conditions, while their proper management may be of significant importance for the commercial success of a game.
