The thesis analyzes the relationships between attachment style, emotional intelligence, and sexual satisfaction in close relationships. The starting point was attachment theory and the concept of emotional intelligence as important factors shaping an individual’s emotional and relational functioning. The study used the Attachment Styles Questionnaire, the Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire, and the Sexual Satisfaction Questionnaire. The aim of the thesis was to examine whether attachment style and emotional intelligence are associated with the level of sexual satisfaction. The results indicate that a secure attachment style and higher emotional intelligence are associated with greater sexual satisfaction, whereas insecure attachment styles may be linked to lower satisfaction. The findings confirm the importance of emotional and relational factors for the quality of functioning in close relationships.
